How to quickly get data from Shortcuts into a shell script.

One of the Mac’s most powerful features is the command line and the power of shell scripting. While you absolutely do not have to be a scripting wizard to use Shortcuts, sometimes tapping into that power from Shortcuts can save you a lot of effort, speed things up, or maybe even allow you to do something you would not have been in able to do otherwise. In this tutorial, I am going to go through probably the simplest way to pass a piece of information from Shortcuts into a shell script.
